It all started when...
I was 13, life was good, i was passionate about soccer,... and then, one day, my life suddenly changed. Forever. So began my initiation into the medicine way.
Ellen understands how life affects health and health affects life from her own, personal, healing journey. She feels it is her calling to assist others in their healing journey toward a more fulfilling life that is soul supported.
Ellen has 20+ years of health care experience beginning at the age of 14 when she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This experience, and many others, lead Ellen to avenues of higher education and alternatives to health, wellness, and disease/illness prevention.
Ellen received a B.S. in Environmental Science with a focus in Ecology from The University of North Carolina-Asheville. She went on to receive complementary and alternative health care training from Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine, Bellevue Massage School, and the New England School of Homeopathy. She continues to study shamanic medicine, indigenous ceremony, and spiritual leadership/mentoring with Char Sundust at Sundust Oracle Institute.
Her dedication to helping others, love for life, and openness to Spirit, creates a safe and loving space for healing. The blend of medical knowledge, life experiences and intuition make for a unique and truly holistic approach to hands-on healing.
Ellen has spoken and taught workshops to organizations such as Spiritual Directors International, The WA Chapter of the American Herbalist Guild, and Street Yoga Seattle. She taught a wellness program for three years at the University of Washington Law School and was the Executive Director for a Seattle-based non-profit, Integrative Care Outreach, where she currently resides as a board member/advisor and served on the grant committee for the WA Women's Foundation.
Ellen dedicates her time and energy to honoring what she teaches by making daily choices that mirror her priorities. She takes time to meditate, contemplate, workout, laugh, and cook healthy food. She also holds dear the space for friends and loved ones. She enjoys running trails, adventures in parks, riding her bike, rock climbing, watching sunsets, time with her cat, and reading.
